Not happy yet with what I am getting but it is just getting comfortable with the workflow and some setting tweaks. Your tutorial really helped. However with the image in question...I am going to try it with HDR but it is my understanding that when you use HDR with one image rather than 3 separate images...the noise is amplified?? Since this was a low light picture, there is already a lot of noise in it.

DanDan Felsteadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04917775645881312007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-654265037255757089.post-38720343152781492502009-05-28T21:48:25.320-05:002009-05-28T21:48:25.320-05:00Hi Dan,

It took me some deliberation first, there's so much that works in the colour version.

But in the end, it was the bw that I plumped for. Maybe this is one where you could experiment a bit with HDR, get just a tad more detail in the bright patch?

Cheers,
--Mark

PS U could probably do it during the mono conversion -- but I know you're itching to play HDR!!HightonRidleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03119696041973848358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-654265037255757089.post-88984374859921977932009-05-28T20:01:18.085-05:002009-05-28T20:01:18.085-05:00Cynthia...
