With the onset of July....the dog days have set in.On days like today, I often think of other Seasons...a time of cooler crisp air moving across the heartland. The leaves were at their peak in New Harmony but it wasn't the foliage that caught my attention...it was the interaction between the visitor and the cat.
Dogs and cats often bring a smile to one's face when they come onto the scene. The lady sat stoically for quite a while on the bench...with no interaction to her surroundings. The cat sauntered up, purred and brushed her leg again and again in a crazy eight fashion. Immediately, the visitor, shaken from her trance began to smile as if she wanted to show the world what she had found.
