Whenever I post images, I always try to post a variety of subjects so hopefully you can find one that is of interest to you. Please indulge me a bit image space today for a personal post.
If you look at last Wednesday's post, it is of an elderly man that prompted me to remember family. I had set it up to post ahead of time and last Wednesday it came up on the blog. Little did I know that on the next morning, my Dad would pass away.
I fully realize that you may think that you did not know him...but I would guess that you actually did. During our lives, we have met someone who by chance or by way of a brief, passing introduction left an imprint on our minds. You can't put your finger on it but something about that person....a magnetism, a kind act, a sincere interest in your life or a meeting of the eyes as you passed by that you wanted to be able to spend more time with that person. That was my Dad.
A sense of humor the size of Texas...not a comedienne type of humor, not a "I have to be the center of attention" type of humor but a natural belly laughing presence when he was near.
I was blessed to have him as my mentor, my close friend, my hero for 62 of his 87 years. .....I'll miss you Dad...........
