Late in posting today! Sorry about that. This image has two elements to it ...one is disappearing and one is multiplying! The season for the golden wheat fields in Southern Indiana has finished it's short life this summer. This is the last field around the area that has not been harvested. Soon...probably tomorrow the field will be nothing more than short stubble...but as it disappears...nature brings us a colorful replacement...tiger lilies. The roads in the area are already lined with bright exploding bursts of summer orange. It is not the muted reddish autumn shade of orange but unbridled crayola pure orange!
Soon the fields will no longer be layered in golden wheat but the bright colors of hot humid Indiana summer. Bring it on...let nature have her way with her fields overflowing with life renewed again!
