Snowy Day in the Old City

Since I didn't blog this winter, I thought I would post a winter scene from time to time...images that were taken this past season.

The old part of the city holds an atmosphere that is locked in the 19th century. I like to visit it especially during the snowy days of winter. For me it harkens back to a time when things weren't as hectic and city dwellers actually spoke to each other face to face instead of tweeting. A time when what one said had consequences..good or bad...unlike a sterile comment of 140 characters.

I would just love to go inside that beautiful brick home; sit and gaze out the corner windows... Bet it is expensive to heat though! :)

Mary ...right on both counts! I would also like to see the inside. We used to have an old farmhouse...no insulation to speak of and it was extremely expensive to heat and cool! Thanks for stopping by.

Ohlar,

Thank you for the comment. Most of my work is digitally enhanced. I don't profess to exhibit "photojournalism". I try to recreate the feelings and emotions I had when the picture was taken. Sometimes the raw image from the camera just doesn't get there.
