It was one of those high humidity late August sundowns when the moisture hangs in the air and on your skin. The atmosphere diffused the golden rays of the sunset and washed the landscape in a surreal blanket, hinting of the Autumn colors to come next month. I felt I was observing mother nature in the midst of transition from the summer of the mossy pathway to the Autumn of the stream reflecting the yellow/orange sunset. I stayed here until nightfall and watched the colors fade into a muted indigo and moon white.

Dan, thank you for that beautiful photo of the golden stream and your poignant narrative, because I've been there, done that, endured the oppressive atmosphere just to have some eye candy.

Wildspirit,
I see what you mean! I visited your home on Fotothing and you have some beautiful images. Looks like you did in fact endure some uncomfortable surroundings at times but the photos are beautiful.

Dan,

I was going to post on your latest entry when this dazzling display of colour caught my eye. What fantastic imagery, and the prose gave me a visual taste of this precious moment.

Pura...thanks for your comment. This is one of my favorite pictures. The reflection of the early Autumn colors in the stream was beautiful...really invigorating. I am glad you enjoyed it!
