Butterflies have no weapons, no venom, no claws or sharp teeth to protect themselves from predators. However, this particular butterfly remains safe. A predator looking for an easy catch will pass him by. For he portrays a visual signature of multiple individuals finding safety in numbers. The adversary is confronted with multiple sets of eyes staring back at him. As I looked through the viewfinder, I wanted to look around me... back, side and front...It was one of those feelings that someone or something is stalking you but you can't pinpoint where it is coming from!

Sunny,

Thanks, butterflies are so numerous in their shapes and colors, I always enjoy taking pictures of them...especially the ones that are different than the typical Monarch that we see so much of in this area. I am thinking about posting another tonight.

Yes butterflies are one of many amazing creatures. They are so fragile. The photo is wonderful and your prose is wonderfully executed.

This certainly doesn't sound like a "bean soup recipe" to me! :]

Awesome pen/imagery.
