Heather chose our Beloved "Scooter".....

Dogs have been with me throughout my entire walk on this earth. My earliest childhood memories are flooded with an "Old Yeller" type who I used to catch laying in the summer sun, I would lay down with him and with my head on his stomach, sleep the summer day away

I had a German Shepherd who knew my inner most dreams and desires with conversations during walks across open fields and through forests.
The day I had to put her down, almost 15 years on this earth was a task that I still grieve to this day.

My Wheaten Terrier, Scooter, in the photo is my loyal friend who cares not whether I am successful, famous or rich. She is there at the end of a long day, waiting for me with no expectations other than knowing that she is loved - I wish life could be as simple as the unconditional love shown by a dog.

Lovely picture of that adorable dog! And I would agree on your wishing life could be as simple as a dog's love. Thanks for the note you left at my blog. :)

Thanks Dani,
It is hard to beat that look and wagging tail at the end of a day.

I'm with you, Dan.
Gogs, I think, would make better leaders inthis world than us human types.

Well, at least after we get past that 'chewing' stage, eh?

Looks like an excellent partner!

Boneman,
You are right...after the chewing stage. Scooter was one of the worst to break of that habit but after she got through that stage, she is a great dog!

Ain't it the truth, brother?
All we can really do to repay their loyalty is to love them as well as they love us.
She's a beauty!

Thanks Shabby Girl...
That is so right, they do respond to our love and attention. They miss it when it's not there.

She's gorgeous! I love the way she's stretched out and seemingly content. You must be a good dog papa! ;)

Denise,

She is one spoiled Wheaten Terrier! I saw your schnauzers....my Dad has had schnauzers and they are great dogs.

Once again your photograph is more a well-painted canvas that just a picture.

I hope you and your friend will be together for a lot of years to come.

She is truly a trusted friend!

What a great choice of pictures!
Scooter is so adorable and does resemble Lucy.
No matter how bad the day has been, your dog will always make you smile.
Sunny :)

Sunn...I know you will agree with this...the best way to describer her is ...."Just Funny"! She is without a doubt the craziest dog we have ever owned and we love it!

A perfect photo. This one mellows me out. Animals do know how to relax, don't they. You captured it well, Dan.

Patty...the best thing that Scooter does is ....RELAX!
