I guess I am one of those rude people who can't help themselves but wander around in your yard as you look out the window and ask yourself...who is that out there?

Actually I did ask permission to walk around in this wonderland of blooms, scents and solitude. In the background is the same dogwood pictured in yesterday's post. But I could not miss sharing the entrance to this quiet respite. So inviting was the brick walk and the arch that I just had to pass through it. I found myself lost for a moment in another world away from the interstate and next week. This late afternoon was for taken selfishly for me.

Wow- I some how missed your last few posts, but I just have to say that they are absolutely stunning. I would love to wander through that garden myself. It looks like a wonderful place to relax and let the worries of the day slip away, even if just for a brief moment.

Heather,
You described the moment precisely! By the way, how is your grandfather?

You have such an eye for these beautiful shots!
Imagine living there, and at the end of everyday, walking outside to sit under that tree!

Dan, you're getting rather skilled at re-creating your photos. You are no longer a Photographer with an artists eye, you put your special touches and create the masterpiece of photography. Love the touch!! Many have no idea the time and the careful thought that it takes to create such a warm presentable gift to the eye!

What else can I say? I am always impressed :o)

Shabbygirl...

This was a truly beautiful setting. I spoke to the owner of the house and she was a Master Gardener. I didn't even know that such a title existed but walking around her yard and gazebo area...I could certainly tell that she wasn't your normal everyday gardener! She really has the knack.

Thanks Heather.

There is a lot of time put into both the taking of the picture and post processing. It is one of those things...both the picture taking and the finishing touches that I could do 24 hours a day and never get tired of it. I think I am obsessive compulsive!

Lovely yard! I hope someday I can actually landscape something nice like this in my own!

Exquisite, Dan! Like a painting....

It's no wonder you let yourself get "lost" there!

Boneman...quite true...I actually gave prints of the photos to the person who owns the tree.

Lynda,
I am glad you noticed "Like a painting". I used the dry brush technique in photoshop. I love that filter. It does a much better job than the watercolor in my opinion if you have an image that could be translated into a painting.
