I have some news! Last week I posted some information concerning a charity drive for Breast Cancer and one of my photos was accepted for the publication. The proceeds from book sales will go to the AVON foundation for Breast Cancer Research.

Donating to a charity is a very personal decision. I just wanted to make you aware of this opportunity if you are interested. The link for the Avon foundation is:
http://www.avoncompany.com/women/avoncrusade/
The US Avon site is:
http://walk.avonfoundation.org/site/PageServer?pagename=walk_homepage
These links are for your review to help decide whether or not you want to buy a book and donate.

If you look on the right side of the blog under my profile, you will find a button to preview the book itself. Click on it and it will show you several pages of the book. The link below the button is the press release for the book that you can review as well.

The prices for the book are listed on the book preview site.

Very cool that you have a photograph of a photograph.
That sort of picture always got to me, and, actually, also has been playing at the minds of artists for centuries. From the Tales of the Genji (Japan, somewhere around 1000 AD) where scenes of the paintings in the royal courts were pictured plainly to Van Gogh's own Bedroom scene with a painting of his own hanging on the wall behind the bed.
Yup!
Not only are you good at your craft, but, you are also classical, sometimes!

Congrats on the inclusion!

Boneman,
Interesting thought. I never thought about that other than showing a picture of the book. I guess it is kind of like taking a picture of yourself in the mirror and it is reflected over and over again! Try it sometime.

Dan,
So happy to have you involved with this project! Your photography is stunning, and the words behind the photos are beautiful and thought provoking.

YAY - I've been wondering when the book would be ready :o).

Thanks, Dan.

Sara,
Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of the project. I would venture to say that each of us on the blog is somehow effected by this insidious disease. Whether we know someone...an acquaintance or even a family member. It is a very worhtwhile project and Kudos to you for taking the effort to spearhead such a worthwhile endeavor.

Congrats Dan! No surprise here! That picture of your dog is taken to perfection. (I'm sure it helps to have such an adorably picturesque dog.)

Thank you Virginia,
I am proud to be a part of this book of course but more importantly, I am proud to be a part of the cause to help raise awareness of Breast Cancer.

Good to hear from you again.
