Reconnaissance: A search made for useful military information in the field

Surveillance: Close observation of a person or group, especially one under suspicion.

I visited a political demonstration recently and noticed these two gentlemen. During the entire event, their strange behavior sparked my curiosity. As the crowd listened to and watched the various speakers, these two gentlemen watched the watchers....facing towards the crowd, away from the stage.

Probably my 60's paranoia creeping back in again...I am headed back to nature....that is what gives me peace.

Wonderfully insightful Dan, I see no paranoia...and enjoy the relationship of the two characters (subjects)..but then again, I am a Muse...Nicely shot!

wise thought, Dan.
After all. This is Indiana, and the police are allowed to break into our homes and murder us in our beds.

Nature with its coyotes and bears and even deadly snakes seems rather tame next to some men, eh?

Boneman,
Now you have REALLY revived my 60's paranoia!!

Wow- you know boneman seems quite right though. The worst dangers in the world come from men! Sadly.

I would like to think that the most safety could also come from the same source, though. We'll hope. :)

Dani,
Spot on...the dichotomy between man for a positive outcome and man for a negative outcome is truly the "The best of times and the worst of times" rolled into one package.

Hmm, I look at those mirrored sunglasses and it reminds me of Secret Service--the mirrored sunglasses keep others from telling exactly where their eyes are looking.

C. Beth...Welcome!!
I am guessing that the majority of folks that post here know who you are! I had the same creepy feeling about the glasses and he never showed any expression on his face...even when I goosed him.

Just kidding!

Ooooohhhhh....those glossy, yellow, mirrored sunglasses like I used to wear while skiing...maybe he's just skiing....no???????
Dan, I'm feeling left out? I did all kinds of searching and I'm missing the whole C. Beth thing. Darn it. Out of the loop. Blast living in the sticks sometimes.

Cynthia,
Sorry about that. When I first started blogging, I stumbled onto this fantastic blog called the One Minute Writer. It is a fabulous place to tryout one's writing skills. Each day, she posts a prompt and you have one minute to respond. It really trains you to get to the point with your message. I will warn you however...it is addicting!

I had the honor of doing a guest post on her personal site today, you can pick up the link on her One Minute Writer site (www.oneminutewriter.blogspot.com)and tomorrow she is reciprocating and doing a guest post on this blog tomorrow. Something new for me and I think I am going to post a guest post every week by someone. More about that later.
