Let's see....I wonder who lives here?
An engineer? An accountant? Perhaps an Amish family? Even if the sign were not out front, this house screams "AN ARTIST LIVES HERE!". The house doesn't even have a rectangular side window!
What is it about artists? Do they have an extra area in their brain that overrides constraint? I would love to have a bit of that uninhibited outlook on life. Artists truly wear their innermost feelings and secrets on their sleeves for everyone to see and thank God we have them. This world would be a boring place without our artists to keep us wondering about possibilities and not only about our day to day grocery lists and updating our Franklin planners.
One look at a piece of beautiful artwork a day keeps my dopamine centers fully loaded and starts my day off on the right track....Artists...I love you...wherever you are!

I know my mood would brighten each day as I walked through that door. Vivid color always brings joy to my heart. I can never get enough "color" around me. You should see the paintings and prints that cover my home's walls. My daughter asks if they have all the Crayola colors. A little (or a lot of color) can't hurt! Happy Father's Day Dan!!!
I want to live there! My husband is an artist; he thanks you for this post.
Happy Father's Day to you and all your blogging friends, and to all your friends, and their friends...oh, Happy Father's Day, World!
What wonderful colors :)
Septembermom...

I am addicted to bright colors as well. I almost get a rush from viewing bright colors!

Don't forget that YOU are an artist, Dan! Quite a talented one.
Another house that you've photographed that I want to live in...the list just keeps growing.
:^)
And YOU ARE an artist, Dan!
Thank YOU!
:^)
Sabrina and Cynthia...
Thanks for the kind words and my first inclination was to take pride in my images after reading your comments. But actually, I don't see a photographer as an artist...anyone can release a shutter and with a little training...post process. To me an artist starts from scratch and finishes with a masterpiece. Just my thoughts but thanks for your comments. Thoughts like yours always makes one feel great!

Next time I'm over in Bisbee, I'll take some pictures of some of the houses there. Some very much like this one.

Bisbee...right down on the border isn't it?? I would really like to see the photos.

I have to agree with Sabrina and Cynthia...YOU are DEFINITELY an artist! You don't just "take a picture"...you put thought into what you take, you take the photos and make them something special. And...you give us stories that are beautiful.
Never think you are not an artist!
Sara! thanks for stopping by...I've been meaning to contact you to see how the book sales are going. Thanks for the kind words and I will contact you next week...have a great weekend.
Dan
My goodness, that's a beautiful shot!
Kate and Oli...
