H A P P Y 4 T H OF J U L Y !
Just a normal house on a normal street in small town America. But to me this is the essence of our heritage. Life has gotten so complicated today that we often pine for the "Old Days"...we can have the "Old Days" yet again if we can just slow down from time to time. Even with our hectic schedules...we can unwind from this downward spiral if we make it a priority...to just do this for a short period boost our spirits and fuels us for the work week back in the trenches.
Enjoy the hot dogs, fireworks and your families today and we will meet again after the Holiday!
By the way...you can see the porch on the small house next to the house with the flag...this is the porch that I cropped out on my post a couple of days ago.

What an inviting picture. Very reminiscent of the town I live it.
Hope you had a wonderful holiday.
Thought of you as I drove home through the country yesterday afternoon. I passed a pasture full of horses, and in the background, a barn draped with a huge American flag. It would've made a lovely photo. I should've taken the time to stop and take one.
Heather...like you said last week on the cornfield post...maybe you should have stopped and smelled the cornfield!
