Testosterone Week has begun!

I am not one to be into old cars all that much but my reason for being drawn to them is that chrome, lacquer paint, hugely bright colors and intricate engines are made for the lens of a camera...I just can't resist when a car show comes to town!

The chrome here reminds me so much of the old"sheriff" in the movie "CARS". I think it might be same model of car as in the animated movie. Old cars were heavy, fuel monsters and huge but one thing for sure...when they show up nowadays...they certainly turn heads! You can see the Bright Yellow Mustang Cobra next to it in the reflections of the headlight and bumper!

I am taking artistic license here and with the rest of the cars this week...I am saying that they have all been retro fitted with Ipods and we are going to look at their Ipod play lists! Also maybe the portable DVD Player as well.

Songs that are on the drivers Ipod Play List:

My Hometown - from the movie CARS
Highway 66 Re-Visited
Soundtrack from Road to Perdition
The Sting

On the DVD Player:
Driving Miss Daisey
Rainman
CARS

If you want too add to either...just leave it in the comments. Have some fun this week.

I love the way you've done this post, Dan. The car with the highlights from the yellow mustang shining through...awesome!!

The way you pulled in some songs...cool!

I have none to add to it (mostly because I can't think yet...hahaha - too early and brain still numb...need some water on my head).

I'm looking forward to more - more - more!

Beautiful! I love the reflections and the bold color of the car.

Great choices of songs and movies. I can't think of anything to add, though your reference to Rain Man made me laugh. "Five minutes till Wapner."

Can't wait to see more!

New to your site, I love the narrative with your photographs. And I love todays photo particularly. I missed two car shows over the last couple of weeks due to other commitments, but am sure I'll get one yet. The song list is a great idea!

I'm not much into cars, but I can certainly appreciate a great paint job! It's like liquid!
Hubby restored a '68 GTO convertable years back. The problem...the paint job was so fantastic that he was afraid to park it anywhere. It, too, was like looking at pure liquid.

The paint is what draws me to them as well. I mean to say that it is perfectly smooth like looking into a mirror.

The shine, the detail...They knew how to make cars back then. Great photo! What about "Grease" for the DVD player? I remember those drag race scenes.

Yes...Grease would have been perfect!
