By now you may have seen Zach's post announcing his co-authoring of the blog! I am excited to see Zach's interest in Photography and I am sure he will be posting some exciting images in the future with his "special" spin. When he mentioned that he may accompany his photos with poetry...I told him that is a step in the right direction...there are several followers of the blog who write their own poetry as well and most are at least lovers of both prose and poetry. Besides...this is a totally new element to the blog...I can't write poetry...when I try, my poetry ends up sounding like a recipe for bean soup or something! I really appreciate everyone's interest in seeing how this progresses. The timing is perfect...next month will be my one year anniversary with the blog and I was racking my brain trying to add a new dimension to the blog for next year...now we have it!
By the way the image above was taken in the rockies while we were fly fishing. Zach has changed a bit from the photo but I was old then...and am old now...some things never change!

Oh Dan...I'm sure your poems sound better than "wash beans, boil, add cornbread, eat." You're hilarious.
This sounds like such a great idea. I'm excited to see the new direction your blog is taking.
BTW, remember when you were eagerly anticipating your 100th follower? Right after it happened, I went in to manage my blogs and noticed I wasn't technically a follower of your site! So I became number 102 or something. Ha ha. FIGURES! Not sure how that happened.
Sabrina...thank you for mentioning the "follower" issue. I just realized as well that I am not linking on my blog to many of the sites I follow and I know that helps your ranking in Google. I am going to revamp my links and I will include you as well.
Thanks,
Dan
It does? Didn't know that!
I'm excited about seeing you wear your Poet's cap for us! I told you that there is a poet in you for sure :) It's wonderful that you and Zach share this passion for photography.
Sabrina...that is how Google moves your site up in the rankings when someone searches on Google. The more folks that link back to your site on their blog...the higher your blog moves up in the rankings.
Dan
Septembermom...you'll not see poetry from me! Even though I love it (I was a French/English major in college)....I have not talent for poetry. But thanks for the support!!!!
Dan
I think it is so wonderful that Zach will be joining you... cannot imagine a more fantastic team to bring us all beautiful art, stories and prose! Your blog was beautiful before, I can't wait for the added beauty! :)
Thanks for the kind words Wonderful wire and I'm glad you stopped by. At least now we will see perspective from by the young and hip....and the old curmudgeon!
Have a great weekend.
