The graveyard is in Femme Osage and is home to many of the original settlers of the small community. To the left of the graveyard stands the original, simple stone building used as a church. It was a very serene morning as the sun finally blanketed Femme Osage with it's welcomed warmth on that first day of frost in Missouri.

I can almost feel the temperature change between the frosty ground and the sunlit trees. I really like the contrast in colors.
Old cemeteries make interesting photos.
Enjoy your day.
Sunny :)
I like the first one! Very interesting look!
Thanks Sunny for the comment and have a great weekend!

I actually did not feel 100% sure when first looking at these... is it frost, or are you playing "tricks" with the editing... ;) But we had our first frost a couple of weeks ago and I also live close to an old graveyard... The contrasts can be amazing between shadowy and sunny spots...
Striking images!
Dawn Treader...I wasn't playing tricks...it was actually a very heavy frost and as the sun moved across the landscape...the frost melted. It was the same morning I took the picture of the steam rising from the stream.
