Happy Thanksgiving

The second picture is one of the very few photos I have posted on my blog that I did not take. In the U.S today it is Thanksgiving and often our thoughts turn to family and friends. The person holding the camera is my Dad who is still living and is 85 this year. My mother is in the background facing the front. She passed away in 1999. I thought it appropriate today to put the focus on our families and other loved ones as we gather in homes across the nation to celebrate our nation's heritage, to thank God for our many blessings and remind ourselves that we are so lucky to be living in a country that at least as of today is still free in so many ways.

Like my dad so many years ago...I am holding the camera with the lens focused on you today and I am in hopes that the picture taken reflects a day of togetherness and for some re-connections with broken ties and even ourselves again.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.

Dan

May your Thanksgiving be blessed with good memories and love, warmth and comfort, joy and peace, Dan.

I also wanted to share how blessed I was today to receive the sweetest fuzzy bundle of love resting on a couch today...all wrapped up in an envelope :)

I got Scooter in the mail. I'll be posting about it in the days to come, after the Holiday, of course.

Thank you SO very much, Dan. Ray really thought it was something special, too :)

How special to see that picture of your parents. They definitely were a good looking couple. I like how your Dad holds the camera with such care and focus. Like father, like son. Your mother was beautiful.

I wish you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving!! Don't eat too much :) I have to tell myself that all the time on this holiday!

Beautiful. ;^) These are wonderful photos. I am thankful that I "wandered" onto your post back in April. It has been an amazing time. I wish that I could have made up my mind as quickly as Heather and DawnTreader on which photograph I could choose from winning the contest...but I am still trying to narrow down my list!!! It's a pretty big deal, and I'm excited.
Thank you again, Dan.
