Dianne and Australian visitors...this is for you.

Of course here in the states, we are headed into the Winter season but you all are headed into Spring/Summer. I came across this the other night and when I saw it...it reminded me of the excitement of those first Spring days and of thoughts turning to a garden. We have a while yet but you will be our muse in the coming months as we gaze outside our windows onto freshly fallen snow dreaming of the smell of Spring earth, blooming dogwoods, the return of our Hummingbirds.

Until then we will make do with the beauty of snow covered landscapes.

Thank you so much Dan, that is a lovely house, with a rambling garden just the kind that I love, it all looks very 'summery'and very inviting.
Yellow is my favourite colour, as it always looks so bright and welcoming.
We are very much into the heat of Summer with high temperatures and no sign of promised rain, just a sunshower today.
I think I would love to be looking out onto a magic landscape of snow, with cool, crisp air,the fragrance of pine trees... a much more enjoyable climate to celebrate Christmas and all the warmth of an open fire and the rich colours of a northern Christmas.
Merry Christmas greetings to you dear Dan and your family.
Love Dianne. xo ♥

Ooooh... you have me longing for warm, sunshiney days :)

As much as I enjoy fall, I'm not much of a winter girl (I blame my southern blood). I've been pining for days on the lake, canoe trips down the river and weekend trips to the beach...

Hope you and your family have a spectacular Christmas, Dan!! Enjoy your Kindle and let me know what you think!! :)

What a charming house and lovely garden.
I wonder why winter is the only season that seems to last forever!

This photo is interesting and amazing at the same time. Looks like the house is playing hide and seek.

The color of the house and the environment around it is beautiful.

Did you make it in Photomatix or in Photoshop. Did you use 1 image for this particular photo?

I'll love to see you at work.. I'm sure I'll learn a lot from your work, both with the camera and on the PC.

the house is perfectly wonderful and so is the photo. we have bright sunshine here, no ice, no snow and it will be 79 on Christmas day. Here in Florida we have spring year round. Our COLD snap just passed, the low was 48. brrrrh. I just took photos of our flowers in the back yard. anyone jealous yet?

Sandra...count me in as being jealous! I used to fly to Florida often in my past life. I always loved it when I would leave Evansville in 14 degree weather and land in Orlando in 60 or 70 degree weather...It was always a lift to the spirits!
