Winter Respite

I needed a break from the cold of winter and so far for us in Indiana...the browns of winter so I am selfishly posting a reminder of the Season to come.......I needed to see the warmth today.

Oh, Dan - this was EXACTLY what I needed to see this morning! I've been just as bitter as the winter wind this week - sorely missing summer and cursing at the 19 degree temperatures. (I live in ALABAMA for goodness sake! It's not supposed to be this cold!)

Thank you for a little bit of warmth and happiness on this cold, gray morning :)

Thank you! Just what I needed too, after coming in from a very cold and snowy walk in a black-and-white world! I know you like snow but just now we have too much of it for my taste...

Sunny...we are definitely not in "defrost" mode here in the Midwest...bitterly cold and maybe our first substantial snowfall due tonight if they get their forecast right.

Hi Dan, I love Black Eyed Susans... nice little pick me up and I too am tired of the cold.

Thank you for commenting on my blog, and yes I did get my zoom lens and I am embarrassed to say I haven't done much with it because I'm too cold! I am a warm weather gal. You can only shoot so much through dirty kitchen windows :)

How lovely to see this cheery flower, winter respite indeed! We have been snowed up for weeks now and it's great to see a colour that isn't white.

Thanks Indryani. As far as the process...most of my pictures are using a process called HDR...taking 3 negatives and merging them together for one picture.
