Early Saturday morning, I was lucky enough to capture the winter storm and snow laden clouds as they exited for the East coast. They had already left their mark on this small Midwest town and were moving a bit faster now with their load of moisture lightened by the deposit the night before. With the clouds now fading in the distance towards the Eastern rising sun...it was left to us to deal with nature's reminder that she does what she wants...when she wants. Each time I see her power...I am humbled.

I really feel the cold in this one. Your words are wonderful. Have a great week Dan. Elaine
Stunning photograph Dan, yes the force and power of nature reminds us that we are but visitors here and we should take care of the earth or we will suffer her wrath. xo ♡
The three buildings make this so interesting! And the sky!!! LOVE the colors.
;^)
The sky is powerful here.
What an absolutely beautiful picture. The three barns against the snow and the gorgeous sky is totally breathtaking. Outstanding!
Sunny :)
the winter has been hard this year...if you did not respect her before...she has definitely declared her presence...
lovely image...
Oh this is really good "white" one. Dramatic sky, dramatic buildings...
The sameness of everything right now is driving me crazy, so I've been burying myself in collage experiments. Decided to give those a whole week at my Picture blog...
Thanks Elaine...are you getting enough of the cold up there? Are you ready for Spring...I am!
Dan
Dianne...send some of your heat out way...we could use it!
Dan
Thanks Cynthia...the three barns were in better shape than the house that stood off to the side. Although I guess on a farm...the barns are pretty important!
Dan
Septembermom...the sky and the timing of the sunrise were the reasons I stopped to take the picture...the barns were just luck!
Dan
Sunny...I would like to have been here with a camera while the snow was falling but it fell overnight and had moved on by the time I got here.
Dan
Muse...from TV...it looks like you got this storm after it left us!
Dan
Dawn Treader...I will check them out. I know what you mean by a dangerously severe case of "cabin fever"!
Dan
Stunning!
Thanks S. Barbie...lots of snow in England this year?
Dan
There has been a rather hefty amount of snow in the UK this year, that much is certain!
I experienced my first "white Christmas" since living here, in the UK, which was a great treat and experience - although I eagerly anticipate the warmth, growth and wonder of spring and the lazy days of summer to come
;-)
Yes, we think we have power and control, but no. Nature is awe-some!
S Barbie...I envy you. I have always wanted to spend Christmas in Europe or Britain....I don't know why but it just seems that so many of our traditions often come from Britain or the Continent.
Dan
Shabbygirl...you have been able to capture Nature in its most beautiful with the sunsets and sunrises of Arizona!
Dan
There is definitely something to be said about Christmas on the Continent - Especially in places like Germany and Austia etc.
S Barbie...before I die...I will spend a Christmas in Austria!
