I was taking pictures outside this February in the miserable cold. I thought back to the day last summer when a quick moving storm front passed through. It was a deluge of rain followed by cooler temperatures and bright sun.

This was a perfect combination for the musky smells of a summer rain and the moody waves of fog rising from the hot previously dry fields. I long for those days again when one can stand outside without a coat...and breathe in the moist humid air after a Summer rain.

Until then...I would settle for a crisp spring day.

Yes. We had more snow last night and they predict another bad snowstorm coming in tonight and tomorrow. We have had snow without interruption since long before Christmas this winter. - Last weekend though we had a sunny winter day with a walk in the countryside which was quite inspiring from photo point of view. There are pictures from it on both my blogs this week if you should happen to have time to look in.

Yesterday we had a little bit of a spring "tease." It was 62 degrees! The wind was wild, but I didn't care! I went for a wonderful walk and really enjoyed it! Today it was 51, but still very blustery and felt much colder. I saw robins, though!!! Spring is not far away!

This is a really lovely photo Dan and I love the fragrance of the rain and earth after summer rain.

You are wishing for warmth and I am wishing for cooler days, it will be the end of our Summer in just over a week.
Yesterday was the first sign of the coming Autumn, it was a perfect day, clear blue sky, sunshine and just a slight chill in the air, it made me very happy.
Now today we are up in the high temperatures once more, humid and uncomfortable ... Autumn can't come too soon for me. xo ♡

Such a beautiful photo Dan. I was going to do a post today of a hint of spring, but the wind has kicked up, and we expect rain the next 3 days.
Never mind.

Thanks Dan for "catching up"... Yes, I think this winter has taken everyone with a bit of a surprise because it was a long time since we had one with cold and snowy weather lasting for such a long time without real thaw in between; in the southern part of the country.
