M o o n r i s e

This was taken off the back porch of a cabin that we stay at in the Smokies. There have been so many peaceful ends to full days spent looking out from this balcony. It has been almost 2 years since we have been back there...it is time this year to re visit and re charge the batteries.

Have a peaceful Sunday and re charge for the week to come. And oh yeah....Go Colts! Southern Indiana born and bred - therefore... the Colts!

Hi Dan, it's been a while since I've done any commenting but I've been here :)

that is beautiful. My husband and I used to go up to Gatlinburg every New Years but I don't recall seeing anything this colorful. so pretty.

Indrayani...this is probably a view that is available to anyone near the mountains...it just takes putting aside the time to stop and enjoy the view.

Dianne..there have been nights from this porch where we have stayed up all night into the sunrise imagining that we could touch the stars...

Dawn Treader...are you far enough north to see the northern lights? I can imagine that they are beautiful as well.

Jaime...then you know how beautiful the area is! The cabin that we stay at...and have for years is just outside of Pigeon Forge almost at the entrance to the National Park towards Townsend and Cades Cove.

Hope to see you at www.myladydujour.com I have some art of mine there on todays post
and
at www.adivashammer.com I have some lovely flowers with poetry.

Ok, shameless plug...but, I guess the blogs are self promotion...

And I dare say that your images speak well for your work...We aren't seeing the same mountains, my friend...but the sky is as glorious!

Muse...any information from you is not a shameless plug! Thanks for letting me know!

Hi Dan, just me back again. Admiring your moonrise photo. I am fanatic about anything about the moon, lol. Thanks for sharing, excellent photo. Anna :)

You got me, with this one, Dan. I am missing the mountains terribly. I need a New Mexico fix. ;^)
