Waiting for Summer.

YesterdayI posted about Rush Creek and the strange isolated solitude so unusual in a state park. Just after leaving Rush Creek...I passed by a picnic area ready for visitors but no one here today. The tables will have to wait for two or three more months when hibernation begins to fade and the blood begins to pump again. The bright sun however was a welcome visitor here today...at least I wasn't alone.

What a wonderful place to picnic in your car in the winter. Tall thermos of hot coffee, big fat roast beef sandwich, and a gorgeous view!

I get a very desolate feeling when seeing places like this in winter. Picnic tables, park benches etc. That were obviously made for summer days! Beautiful spot though, with those tall trees.

Dawn Treader...it is a lonely feeling to be in an area that is usually full of life but is now totally empty except for some wildlife now and then.

Amatamari...thank goodness for the sun...that helped warm things a bit...but it was pretty frigid out there!
