Disney is known all around the world for bringing illusions to life. No better example of this can be found than at the Animal Kingdom park in Orlando. The Tree of Life stands head and shoulders above everything in the park. It can be seen from almost any location. From a distance it looks like the most magnificent tree you can imagine...as you approach it...lifeforms begin to take shape. The entire huge trunk is carved into animals of every type. You can stand for an hour or so and just marvel at the carvings. The tree is completely man made...even the thousands of leaves that fill the upper branches.

If you ever have the opportunity...this is a site to put on your must see list. The entire Animal Kingdom Park is an amazing place for children and adults as well.

Have a great Saturday.

Cynthia...thanks. EPCOT was always my favorite of the Disney parks but the Animal Kingdom ranks a very close second with me. It is amazing what Disnye did with acres of swampland in Florida!

That is amazing. Thanks for sharing (I'm not likely to ever end up going to any Disneyland except by DVD and computer...)

Isn't this fantastic? Oh, to imagine this tree and bring it to life! I saw it years ago, but it was freezing outside, so we couldn't spend as much time as we wanted checking it out.

Dawn Treader...it isn't the end of the world if you don't make it to Disney...it is a neat place to see but it isn't "true" nature...just a facsimile...your nature shots of Sweden are much more interesting to see!

Shabby Girl...I have been there as well when it was "cold"...at least by Florida standards. It does take away from the park when you are standing there looking at something and shivering!

Oh wOw! I am in awe! I do believe I shall have to spend the entire remainder of this day getting totally lost in this image.
