Nurturer...Provider

Today we see the side of the Jaguar that is the mother...the nurturer...the strong parent.

Yesterday's picture of the intent stare directly at the camera was given when I made more movement and noise than the mother was comfortable with. She moved to the front of the area directly face to face with me and told me not to put her cubs in harm's way...I was more than happy to oblige.

She was constantly and alertly and keenly aware of her surroundings and everything within a distance that may harm her cubs and being the good mother...she made sure that they were safe. It was a beautiful insight into the instinct of a mother to protect her young. I took about 200 hundred pictures of them and perhaps later I will post some more.

Ah, I guessed from yesterday's post that young ones might be coming up today! I hope you were safe taking the pictures, too ;)
