On a quiet walkway off the beaten path in the upper elevations of the Smoky Mountains there are the remains of an old growth forest slowly loosing it's zeal for life. Nature is reclaiming it for her own once again. Multiple moss covered trees now cover the ground...trees that for a century had stretched up towards the sunlight above the dense canopy. Continuous humidity drenches the landscape daily in a very fine fog....actually more of a gentle mist than a fog. The smells of rich woods, wildflowers and fresh rains is better than any of our spa like attempts to recreate nature's peacefulness.

I hope your Sunday is drenched in peace and relaxation and some warmth as winter's spell is beginning to weaken.

PS - no worries about "screaming" you comment, I was screaming the news to everyone I knew!

Congratulations to you too - and thank you for thinking of me. :)

So wonderfully relaxing - I wish I could be walking amongst that growth right now...smelling the damp soil and foliage around me. Gorgeous photo.
