The San Antonio River Walk is a trademark of a very unique San Antonio...one of the centerpiece fabrics our hour early history as a nation.
The day that I took the picture was August of '05...113 degrees and high humidity. But in the protection of the shaded pathways along the river...the temperature was not noticed. San Antonio provides a real look into history that I only learned from books as a child...such revered people and places as the
Alamo ,
Davy Crockett and
Jim Bowie. It is a real education to spend some time in beautiful San Antonio and relive the Mexican heritage, the food and the River Walk.

That's stunning, Dan. I've been on the River Walk many times, but it has never looked so beautiful.
This almost looks like a painting. Just beautiful! The lighting makes me feel like I'm there.
Oh my gosh, Dan...this picture is spectacular. I've never been to San Antonio, but I want to do this River Walk ASAP. It looks so beautiful, serene and relaxing.
I might be going there in mid-April. :)
I have never seen photos of the River Walk before, but everyone tells me it is gorgeous.
Your photo makes it look majestic. :)
It does look hot and refreshing at the same time!

Thanks Shabbygirl...the light belies the heat of the day but all along the River Walk there are views such as this.
Dan
Heather...the nice thing also about the walk is that there are numerous restaurants and outside cafes/bars that you can stop off and visit along the way.
