Awesome Friend

Last week I had a post about the Doctor who had the award winning beard. This weekend I visited his farm. He has a Chesapeake Bay Retriever that is one of the most awesome dogs I have ever seen. It is huge with webbed feet and lives to swim in his nearby lake. The dog would dive to the bottom of the lake and pull up muddy tree roots as his toys.

Each year I submit a photo to be considered for the "Paws for Charity" book for breast cancer...I think I have found my candidate for next year's submission!

What a great looking dog...totally 'pawesome'. Best of luck with your entry.

I agree Sunny...this was not your ordinary "pawtry" dog!

Dan your wonderful eye and technique really do justice to this beautiful dog - I can almost feel and smell that wet doggy fur!

You're right - this particular breed is very unique and very, very pretty. You captured him (and the essence of his breed) so well. I know his owner will cherish these pictures for a long time :)

Simply great!!! Agod friend I suppose!

Scattering! You are right...it was a great dog but not the kind you want to cuddle up in bed with! He is constantly in the water and the mud. The smell and dirty paws would sort of mess up the sheets!

Alabama Heather...sounds like you know the breed. I wasn't that familiar with them but have a new found love for the breed.
