All around the area now...garden plots are starting to appear.
some are quite elaborate and others are small patches of ground set aside for a tomato plant or two. Whenever...I see the tools of the trade...a shovel, a rake, empty plant containers...I know that there will be some great things coming from the land in the not to distant future. In July/August....the fruits of this hard work will show up on our tables.
It is Saturday and I hope each of you has the opportunity to break some ground today. Some of our visitors are from down under....join in with us...if even through the images.

Our spring is very slow this year and today it seems to more or less have come to a halt - temperature around 6°C! I bought two tomato plants for my balcony earlier in the week but one I've had to wrap up warm and the other one is staying inside for a while longer!
As always Dan you capture the right colors. I would love to have a garden, sitting and enjoying the natural beauty all around. Maybe a Margarita or coffee and a book. Not sure about my black thumb though, maybe I let the gardeners handle the work :)
Thanks Dan for joining my blog (again). I think I'm the one who finds you when I manage to escape. Beautiful photo!
Curiously, did a lot of winter vegetable planting yesterday.
Oh yes it is, very unstable in our area, we get heat, rain and today snow. Excellent image, I love the fence. Anna :)
What a charming garden. You would think living on a mountain and being closer to the sun - haha, things would blossom sooner...not so! The valley is awash in spring already, we are running late.
Sunny :)
Dawn Treader! WOW...this past season has really had a tight grip on you this time. there is light at the end of the tunnel..I hope!

Thanks for the kind words Pura...I also have a black thumb...even though I try...and I love gardens...they don't like me.
Dan
J! What is the temp down there now?
Dan
Thanks Anna...yep...this early in the season...we still get some occasional fluctuations as well.
Dan
Sunny it seems that Spring is late for many this year...it will be here for you before you know it.

Beautiful! My mother is a wonderful gardener. I wish I had the skill and patience to grow pretty things.
Thanks Alabama Heather...I have the desire but not the right color thumb.
