1970 Flashback

"Our House" flashed through my mind as I drove through Lynville...a small town off the interstate in Indiana.

It was once of those moments when we pass by a scene in the car and the image remains yet a mile down the road. So much so , we turn around and return to the image to capture it. As I set up the tripod for an HDR triple exposure...Crosby Stills and Nash was echoing in my head.

We often hear the cliches...white picket fence, 2 kids in the yard, a dog and small town America. There are so many scenes like this in small towns but each house has it's own family, it's trials and hardships along with the family memories of "the home place".

If you think back to your childhood...your house will look different but your home place will probably echo the familiar emotions felt when you look at a scene such as this.

A real beauty. Speaks of times gone by.

It is a lovely house with its yellow painted clapboards, the white picket fence and garden, very welcoming and that view to the yard at the side of the house is very inviting, I would like to explore some more. xoxo ♡

Our house, a very, very, very fine house...
Now I'll be singing that all day!
I love the picket fence and flag, very inviting.

Hello my Indiana friend. This house reminds me of my own, the yellow house that I loved and lived in all of my growing up years.

I love yellow, Dan. Always have and always will.

Very sweet. I always wanted a picket fence and a big wrap around porch. Love the day lillies around the fencing!

i love the way the tree reflects into the door of the home...
its mighty branches and many leaves...welcoming, announcing, and guarding.
giving a reflection of the families within...those branches which have grown over time and added so many (leaves)(children) to the family as a whole...

this has been one of my favorites.

Thank you BJ. I love simple houses such as this. They always seem like a home and not just a place to eat and sleep!

Hether...yes I remember from another picture I posted earlier that your home place was yellow! We used to live in a yellow house as well and now that you have reminded me...I think I will post it.

Thanks Dawn Treader...my wife wasn't with me thankfully...she hates it when I do those quick turnarounds and I have to admit..I do them quite often.
