There was a recent suggestion that some of my blog photos could be made into puzzles. I am thinking about adding the above Widget to the blog. I won't update the puzzle daily...probably every few days. Also I am not sure how it will work...once it is solved...will it show up as unsolved for new visitors or will it revert back to a scrambled puzzle?
At this point it is purely a beta test....
We have known each other now for two years...I am asking for your honest feedback...let me know what you think if you have the time.
1. Should I keep this or something like it?
2. Does it dilute the images posted on the blog?
3. As a visitor to a blog...do you have the time to even try to work the puzzle? I know visitors often hit a blog and move on quickly.
4. Any suggestions PRO OR CON would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to add something like this unless the important people ... YOU....want it!
Thanks,
Dan

OK, so you got me Dan, I did the puzzle (even though I wasn't going to!), it took me 6.13 minutes. It's pretty cool and 6.13 minutes of fun. I don't think it takes anything away from your photographs, it anything it makes you look deeper into them....

I agree with Lizzie, Dan...and also was not going to do the puzzle, but I AM a puzzle gal who couldn't resist it. Once my eyes set on the first two pieces to fit....I was hooked until completion. Don't ask how long it took me to do it though...I clicked share before I looked at the time because I was curious as to what I would be sharing :)
Lizzie...thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate the time you took to try it out.
Thanks,
Dan
Heather...thank you so much. I think the share button let's you email the puzzle to someone. At first I was a bit concerned about letting the pictures out on the web but they are very small resolution...pretty much useless at that size. Besides...I guess if anyone sends the picture puzzle...someone else will see my photos! Again thanks for the feedback...I value your (the blog guru) opinion.
Dan
...that's pretty darn cool, and it was fun!! You should have more. (We are a puzzle family, so I couldn't resist. I also liked the tiny little sound it made when the pieces fit together to...).
I thought about coming back to work the puzzle, but once I put the first piece in, I was hooked. It didn't take long, which is a plus for me. Love puzzles!
Dan,
I thought it was cool. Where did you get the widget? Can I get one too? I would do a new one once a month or so. Keep it, I'll be back to do it again.
My time was 7'17 min. and I think that it is a good way to let us know your work. You have to extra-analize the photo. I have fun with it! Thanks a lot!!!
I'm going to put one on my blog, just for one day, as like alot of the other i was not going to do it, and then found i had finished it!
Great idea but it took me a while to realise it was one of your shots.
Okay, Dan...here goes:
Ever since I was a child, I have HATED jigsaw puzzles. I know that sounds almost un-American! Anyway, I did try your puzzle and I must admit it was fun.
Many of your pictures are ideal for puzzles, so I think they would be an enjoyable challenge now and then.

Kelly thanks for giving the feedback...it looks like the puzzles are here to stay with so much positive feedback. I appreciate you taking the time to give your thoughts.
Dan
BJ...I am glad you liked the puzzle and I am going to keep them on the blog. Thanks for the feedback.
Dan
David thanks for the feedback and glad to hear from you again! You can go to www.jigzone.com for the code to enter on our website. Obviously yo can upload your own pictures as well.
Dan
Miquel...thanks for the feedback and I am going to keep the puzzles coming on the website. I thought it would add something new for the folks who like puzzles. Personally I am not crazy about working puzzles but it seem that many like them.
Dan
Brett thanks for stopping by and thanks for the feedback. Yes I guess they can be addicting! To put it on your blog just go to www.jigzone.com and obtain the code after you upload your picture.
Dan
Sunny...I have to agree with you. I am not crazy about puzzles either...I don't have the patience but it seems that most like them so I am going to keep them on board. You won't hurt my feelings at all if you don't work the puzzle...some like them and some don't. I just didn't want to keep them on here if the overwhelming sentiment was negative.
Dan
Okay, I did the second puzzle, it took me about 13 minutes (my eyes aren't what they used to be!). My incentive for doing it was to see your wonderful picture!
I can see where these could become addictive!

Yes I like the puzzle wiggit, but I think you should continue to post one of your magnificent photos for those of us that don't always have the time to do the puzzle.
Sunny now I am worried. I feel like a pusher...don't want to be the cause of a friend's addiction!
Dan
Steve...thank you for stopping by. You have a fabulous blog. I tried to leave a comment but couldn't figure out how??? Anyway...I also use the same type of equipment for HDR...a DSLR(Nikon) and a Canon G9. I set up the G9 C1 mode with aperture priority, and bracketing in 2 f stops. Works great for this purpose. Also thanks for the feedback.
Dan
Of course I have been working the puzzles...even if I don't have time. I cannot resist puzzles...
I have been going back through your blog...not commenting for the most part and really enjoying a lot of it. I just leaving the page open and going on back through when I have the time. Just now taking a minute to see the current posts I have missed.
Rose thank you so much for taking the time to visit my older blog posts. If you have any questions about any of them just let me know...I would be glad to fill you in.
Dan
What a great widget! Your photos are perfect for it, great idea.
