Restful, Peaceful Porch

For those of you who follow the blog, you know that every so often my addiction for porches shows up on the blog.

This was shot at the end of a long day when I had been in town for most of it. The heat reflecting off the bricks and asphalt combined with exhaust fumes told me it was time to leave for greener pastures. On the way home, I passe this farmhouse and the porch seemed so inviting that I had to stop for a picture. The cool grays and whites were the perfect recipe for rejuvenation after a hurried day in parking lots and standing in lines. This is where I need to be.

Porches are the best part of a house and this one is a beauty. The house we lived in before we moved had a wonderful porch and I really miss it, especially on these hot summer days.
Hope you have a delightful weekend.

Gorgeous porch... you know I share your love for a good place to lounge and visit with friends. I know I haven't been commenting much lately, but I've still been stopping in and keeping up with your photos.. I hope the summer has been treating you well. :)
