I love the study of hands, Dan! I've missed visiting you blog so much, but since Momma died in May, my life has been turned upside down. I'm slowing going back to read the archieves of my favorite blog (you have been my first).
Because your photos strike my muse into high gear, I'm hopeing it will help. Most of my writing over the past two months and has been very drk nd not wort posting. I'm getting better and I'm looking to you for inspiration.
Also, here is the linkhttp://mymuseandme.blogspot.com/2010/07/my-daddys-old-truck.html to one of my dad's old trcks:
Before I read your prose, the first thought that entered my head upon seeing the hands was "ancient farmer".
What a wonderful study of hands. They look like they have had a hard life and could use a little 'Corn Husker's Lotion'.
Your pictures are really amazing.

Bobbi...I am glad I can inspire you...that is a real honor for me to do so! I need to catch up on your blog as well...I don't know where this summer went!
Hopefully now you can begin to put the death and the fire behind you...it just takes time!
By the way I am reading (actually audible) a great book...such descriptive language..."Folly"...I think you would enjoy it.

I love these shots. They remind me of the BBC Series "Life". In the last episode they showed Primates and the way they craft and work. It's truly fascinating.
Mersad...I saw that series and I agree...it was fascinating and the photography was gorgeous.
