Headed out to see an old friend......We will be spending some time in the Smokies...for me it is like re-uniting with an old friend. From about the age of 5 up through our entire married life the Smokies have been our place of refuge when renewal is needed.
We shy away from the noise of the tourists to "secret" hidden pieces of heaven still left undone by the millions of feet that walk the hikes each year. Yes...there are still places like that left although each year get harder and harder to find.
