As I took this picture in Boston, my curiosity was racing. Pastoral landscapes always evoke my emotions of peace and tranquility. However, I enjoy urban landscapes as well. With them, it is always curiosity. So many universes with in the walls. Each flat tells a different story. A job promotion, a new marriage, a pending divorce, a newly discovered pregnancy, a new degree earned and the prospect of moving soon. I always remind myself that this is not just a building with bright colors but home for so many diverse lives, living out their dreams and struggles within the four walls of their personal universe.

What a beautiful thought. To every picture there is always a story. Often an uknown one. :)

Jessica,

Thanks for the comment and you are right...there are so many stories behind the photos that everyone takes. I have read your stories on Laura Jane's blog and they are very good. Have a great holiday season in Virginia!

How interesting. I never looked at it that way. I'll be looking at homes that are so close together that way in a whole new perspective versus the old way of how cramped that looks.
Enjoying your blog.
I noticed you have Ansel Adams listed as one of your favorite photographers. I love his work. The other sadly have not heard of.
I came across your blog from you being a follower of Simply Heather.

Omah,
Annie Leibovitz is a portrait photographer mainly know for her portraits of famous people but she really captures the essence of the subject. Heather is a great writer. Her posts are stories that I can identify with.
