Birch burns fast, Oak burns slow and hot. It will be Oak tonight. The children in their beds and one light on in the front room. Hands at work tonight. Two days till Christmas Eve. The rag doll and the cradle are almost finished. The tree cut and in it's stand. Tomorrow morning the whole family will decorate it like so many times before and we wait for the Magic of Christmas. Both young and old alike believe and the time is now upon us. It will be Oak tonight.

This takes me back to much more wholesome days. Granted hard work and dedication, but a time of learning the values in life and learning to appreciate what you have more.
Beautiful, simply beautiful!
Thanks Tammy and welcome aboard! I appreciate your comments and have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas!
