Late in posting today! Sorry about that.

This image has two elements to it ...one is disappearing and one is multiplying! The season for the golden wheat fields in Southern Indiana has finished it's short life this summer. This is the last field around the area that has not been harvested. Soon...probably tomorrow the field will be nothing more than short stubble...but as it disappears...nature brings us a colorful replacement...tiger lilies. The roads in the area are already lined with bright exploding bursts of summer orange. It is not the muted reddish autumn shade of orange but unbridled crayola pure orange!

Soon the fields will no longer be layered in golden wheat but the bright colors of hot humid Indiana summer. Bring it on...let nature have her way with her fields overflowing with life renewed again!

Great contrast in this photo. Love the idea of a wonderful promise of vibrant life returning to the field!

This one brings me a feeling of warmth and the desire to drift through the setting barefooted :)

Septembermom,
I checked this field this morning and the wheat is now gone...the tiger lilies even are more vibrant now!

Heather...
I was never one for walking barefooted but let me get my hiking boots on and I will be back!
