Sunday is a good time for each one of us to reflect where we have been and decide anew...where we are headed.

This was taken on the hike to Abrams Creek Falls in the Smokies. the first couple of miles of the hike follows an active vibrant mountain stream before heading to higher elevations. The path is lined with rhododendrons creating a true fairy tale feeling as you follow the path. Each time I find my self on a hike such as this...the path always reminds me of a metaphor of life...walking from darkness to light...a path leading to....

There are so many possibilities, Today I will let you follow your own path....you can share it in a comment if you wish or just keep it personally close. Hope you have an enjoyable Sunday!

Dan, this is the attitude that I want to have as I go through each day. As you know, there has been too much tension around my neighborhood lately. I want to head in a new, positive direction. This picture is amazing. The colors blend beautifully.

Septembermom...
To be here in the morning...smell the forest and feel the breeze coming off the stream...this is a great way to start any day!

Sweetness, Dan.

I am experiencing the same failure again, visiting here but have found how to overcome it. I refresh my browser immediately once here and I am fine.

Maybe that is why you haven't had many comments throughout the last week or so? I don't know if others have experienced this as well, but it is only on this blog that I have (?). Once at GB's blog, he had the clocks in the sidebar that would cause a glitching when I'd visit. He took them off and it's been fine since.

Maybe one of your widgets is causing an issue? Don't know but don't go and delete all of them, okay?

We'll figure it out. Maybe save the code for each widget into a file on notepad "Widgets". Copy/paste each code there and that way you can return them afterward. In removing one at a time, you will discover what the problem could be.

That's a suggestion??

Beautiful. I know that trail very well. It's a lovely hike.
I love the way you described it to Septembermom.. the smell of the forest and all. I love summer, but you have me looking forward to an autumn trip to the Smokies. (My favorite time to go.)

Vermont Heather..

Thanks you so much for the heads up...I didn't realize there was a problem. I will try the widgets thing. I think it might possibly be the Rainbow personality profile...it was the last one I tried and I notice that GB had one on his sight as well.

Alabama Heather...

I am very interested in which trail is your favorite down there (or up there to you!)... Mine without a doubt is Alum Cave Bluffs. Each part of the trail is so different ...it is like combining several hikes into one. I take it every time I end up in the Smokies. A couple of time I have taken the entire trail up to Mt. Laconte...gets a little hairy up close to the top!

It's hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to, I'd say the Chimney Tops trail. The views are just spectacular.
OH! And I thought you'd appreciate my good news. I just found out today that I'll be able to go to Yellowstone with my family in two weeks! We'll get to spend seven days (which I'm sure won't be nearly enough to see everything) I can't wait to experience a different type of mountain that what I'm used to. :)

AWWEEEE! Does your parents need a driver or someone to carry their bags...I am available!! I have never been to Yellowstone or Yosemite and want to go so bad. BE SURE AND TAKE YOUR CAMERA. I like the chimney tops as well...it is about the toughest one I have been on in the Smokies.

Stay safe and enjoy Yellowstone...let us know how it was when you return.
