Day two...the rest of the story.

Here is how the scenario played out...I was on the Harvard campus across the street from the Harvard Book Store. A shiny black Porsche pulled up and parked in front of me. The gentleman that stepped out of the Porsche is the person above. That alone peaked my interest. As I stood there wondering who this was, a truck pulled up on the street next to the Porsche and blocked traffic while a film crew began to gather. A person with a hand held video camera began to film the gentleman while he was talking to the person in the cowboy hat.

Nothing of any significance happened as far as I could see. For some reason he was of interest to the film crew but they were just filming him as he walked around??? The blonde (I failed to mention her yesterday) seemed to be an interpreter. The gentleman would look at her before he would respond to any query...she would say something and then he would follow suit. After a bit, the cameras stopped, a discussion ensued with hand gestures, pointing here and there and raised voices now and then...the Texan grabbed the arm of the person as if to gently nudge him down the street and all four...the gentleman, the Texan and the film crew (man in olive shirt center left of group picture is wired for sound) left together and disappeared from view. The truck still blocking traffic and the Porsche left unattended and I might say I noticed ...unlocked?

To see the gentleman and the Texan together was the strangest of contrasts...normally I would not expect these two types to have anything in common but I guess that's what makes the world go round!

Maybe I am just nosy and should stay out of other peoples' business...but this was an encounter I couldn't resist.

All of your scenarios from yesterday are plausible and may well be true!

Oooh - so you don't actually KNOW what was going on! I was under the impression that after letting us guess for a bit, you'd reveal the truth!!

Very strange indeed...

Sorry Heather...I am totally clueless but everyone's speculation would work! Your guesses are as good as mine.

More great post processing here. You need to give us lessons on how you do that.

This was fun. I agree that you should do something like this more often.

Thanks Faye...On the photos that have almost a drawing quality to them...I process them as HDR (High Dynamic Range) and greatly increase the contrast...this brings out detail and helps heighten the colors. You can Google HDR Photography for tons of tutorials and videos on the process.

Argghhhh! I am so jealous. I want to quit and HDR everything. It is a shame that talented people don't have time to enjoy their talents. The government should bring back the WPA!

I think I will retire - again.

Harvard. Now that brings some memories. I spent a lot of time there. Not at the school - walking through the yards. I got my training not far from Harvard. I lived in a house two blocks from Harvard Yard.

Beautiful work, Dan.

Patty....what a great place to have gone to school...I am sure you know the Harvard Book Store then...it is on that street in front where this took place.

Also...next to the book store...Bartley's Burger Cottage! The best hamburgers and onion rings I have ever had. My favorite was the Viagra Burger...I guess because it had "Blue" cheese...didn't notice any other side effects!

These are great images Dan even if the story did leave us hanging. ;)

So it wasn't you after all, fooey. And you led me astray on top of that! Great post and pictures. It's a shame you couldn't go for a joy ride...darn camera crew. Perhaps you will see this person on television or a movie someday then you can tell us who he really is.

New theory. The young man is the Texan's son by some woman from a foreign country. They only just found out about each other and one of them found it safest to hire a film crew to document the meeting. And an interpretor...

Intriguing series of pictures!

Tricia...I wish I had some conclusion and was able to wrap it all up but it remains to be seen what this is all about!

Pura...I could have been like Buhler in the movie and taken the Porsche out to see what it could do...but I didn't want the spend the night in jail!

It's fun to keep some mystery around this photo. As you said, it opens up the imagination and creativity. Life is fun when there is a mystery or two.

Setptembermom...I agree...life would be too boring without some mystery!

Hmmmmmm....I wonder now. What shall we see in another year or two on screen, that you may have captured in these photos :)

Heather...I have to admit that I wondered the same thing. I am watching the trailers!
