This is another home set aside for the RopeWalk Retreat. The link will take you to the New Harmony writers' site.

The last picture taken on this day...almost passed by. With the fading light of late evening, I had my doubts whether there was enough light for a decent picture. In reality, the dramatic lighting added to the pastoral atmosphere of New Harmony. With the house already in evenings' shadow, the dying sun casts its' remaining light on the flowers and trees surrounding the retreat almost like a fence maintained by nature...protecting the inhabitants from distractions while they consult with their muse. I couldn't get any closer without invading the garden so natures "fence" worked it's magic with me!

This is such a restful photo. Just what the evening is made for.
Very nice.

I've been slacking on the blog somments lately! Sorry - work (and my social life, for a change!) has been crazy, so I've been sneaking little peaks as I can :)

The last several photos are wonderful Dan. They have a very warm, inviting feel to them - and they seem to be reminiscent of a simpler time. I'd love to step into one of them for the day and slow things down a bit!

Love the light in this photo...like the foliage is glowing gold--especially beautiful against the gray wood. My parents recently went to New Harmony and loved it.

Heather...a busy social life is a good thing! You will have the chance to slow down but enjoy the activity while it is happening! Don't worry about the lack of comments...we are all busy during this time of year.

Kelly, I saw that your parents recently went to New Harmony...I hope they liked it and I was wondering if they made it to Nashville, Indiana as well?
