The October Sky is beginning to show it's hand.

The greens of the garden are now giving way to the earthen colors of the next Season. We in Southern Indiana are still in the transition but oncoming golds, rusts and browns of Autumn are not far off for us.

The last flowers are blooming, the late vegetables are now gathered and in the summer kitchen drying for winter's use. We are ready for the change...let the colors begin.

You can feel the change of season in the air. The colors are stunning. I'd like to move right in!

Thanks Sunny...I mentioned last week on one of my posts that it was raining and I was going out to take pictures. This was one of the fruits of the rainy day...soon after the picture was taken...it began to rain again.

This house is looking kind of spooky-unreal to me... Like it's been recently abandoned or something! Btw that pictureless post of yours looks kind of deserted too... Did you join UFO Anonymous, or were you really abducted but had this post scheduled...?

Dan Felstead said...

Dawn Treader...LOL!!! Actually I was abducted years ago and all the post I have made in the past year were sent from Saturn. By the way...how's it going back there on earth?

Well, Dan, that explains a lot! I always wondered where you got your colouring schemes from... -LOL-

In my corner of the Earth the trees are shifting colours every day now; but we still haven't had nightfrost so there are still some flowers, too. The butterflies seem to have given up, though.

Dawn Treader...that is interesting on the change of Seasons...we are not yet seeing it here in the Midwest. I would have thought that by now you would be in full swing???

Also, Dawn Treader..I have scheduled a post for next weekend or Monday (I can't remember for sure)...and I am giving Sweden a plug! A very interesting fact I learned over the weekend.

Sigh... Now you're aquiring those advertising skills... how to keep people coming back EVERY day to check, instead of just giving them the exact date... -LOL- It had better be an actual fact this time, you know...! ;)

More seriously, about the change of seasons, see todays posts (2) in my Picture Book.

...I'm always happy to learn beautiful cottages and gardens like this still exist....and are not just in an artist's imagination. Gorgeous.

Dawn Treader...you saw right through me! However, I did check and the post will be next Sunday. You probably already know the fact but I found it fascinating. I am listening to a history of the United States on Audible and the author mentioned the fact...as a hint...The Swedes had much more to do with the settling of the the United States than I had imagined????
