While re visiting New Harmony in the snow. I wanted to walk back by the greenhouse which I took pictures of early this Summer. It was 16 degrees and a perfect day to step inside and feel the humidity and warmth from the sun shining through the glass panes.

When I approached, the door was locked and I could only peer through the icicles and frosted glass to see the ferns and ground covers thriving inside. It was like peering into an oasis of life separated by thin panes of glass. I will come back again on yet another day...I really want to visit this greenhouse and look from the inside out. Today was only for inspiration.

I love the colors with the icy windowpanes, it really makes you want to go inside. I expect it has that wonderful earthy smell to remind us of warmer days ahead.

Love these pictures, the contrast between the cold outside and the glimpses of the warmth inside...

Sunny...I look forward to stepping inside this Spring and yes the musty smell will be a boost to the spirit just to know that Spring will be around the corner.

Muse...Yes the dead like coldness outside against the vibrant green of the ferns just beyond my reach was frustrating.

Thanks Dawn Treader...I am sure you are tired of the cold as well. You have had it worse than even us this year.

Thank you S. Barbie...I am always interested in Porches and Green houses for some reason. They both fascinate me. Greenhouses are truly a world all unto themselves almost self sufficient and porches hold so many stories of conversations, interactions and friendships.

Dan, you have a truly beautiful, alluring and unique way of seeing, perceiving and capturing the world (and the worlds within worlds)around you thus making your images rather intoxicating to behold.
