Brrr, just looking at pictures like these might give me nightmares! Our spiders are not poisonous but they send shudders down my back anyway. I'm not sure I'd be able to take a photo of one. Especially not indoors! (I got some great shots of spiderwebs in the autumn but then there were not actually any spiders in them.)
I don't like spiders either! they always seem so sneaky. glad you saw him first. did he go down the drain?
Mine too!!! Freaks me out.
YIKES!!!! Spiders give me the willies!! You were very brave to get that close...I hope after you took that photo he was history...as in squashed!
Well. Dan. This has been very instructive. Thank you so much for scaring the crap out of me this morning! Hahahahahahaha!
Truthfully, I am grateful. I would not have seen the violin had you not pointed it out, and I know these can be deadly.
This photo creeps me out waayyy more than a tarantula. Did you "dispose" of him in the sink?
Same here, i just hate spiders!!!!
Warmly,
Javier Echaiz
my beloved would not even LOOK at this post.... lol
AAHHHH!!!! oohh...i hate hate hate spiders!! yuk yuk yuk...
i had a wolf spider go skittering across my floor one night. i trapped it under a drinking glass and watched it jump at me. !!! it um...died. rather suddenly. lol
Yes, isn't it one of the most poisonous! Good for you taking this shot of such a dangerous creature. You probably just gave heart palpitations to those with arachnophobia!
Be careful, Dan. My brother-in-law got bitten by a Brown Recluse several years ago. He has almost lost his leg, has had to have numerous skin grafts and still has problems. Needless to say, I do not like spiders!
Sunny :)
Dawn Treader...I HATE them too! I was about 6 inches from this baby and I don't want to get this close again!

When Aubrey was four, she put on a little apron to help me wash the dishes. Guess what was in the apron and bit her little tummy? We spent several scary days with trips to doctors, hospital ERs, shots in the tummy, etc...She was really sick for those few days, but we were grateful for a miracle! She fully recovered with not even a scar on her skin and the flesh never did rot...it was just bright red and rock hard for those few days. In May she will be 25!
Cynthia...WOW...that is too close for comfort! She is a very lucky girl thanks to your foresight and intuition to get her treatment right away!
