Ealry Spring trying to show it's colors

Just across a dirt lane from the lake I posted yesterday was a field spotted with horses here and there gathering up the new Spring grasses that are beginning to pop through the winter underbrush. One can feel the anticipation of the green season trying to make it's way onto the scene. The leaves have not yet emerged on the trees but shortly this scene will be transformed into renewal and rebirth.

I will return in a few weeks and retake this picture for comparison.

I really love this scene. I'm a sucker for a horse, and I love that emerging feel of spring you've captured!

This is a lovely scene Dan, soft muted colours ... the trees waiting for their new leaves to emerge, the sweet spring grasses peeking through, the scent in the air must be so fresh ... the horse is beautiful and looks content with his surroundings. xoxo ♥

This has to be one of my favorite works. Perhaps because it is so realistic for what is the daily view of my life :)

(i am now following anonymously, due to some stalking issues...)wanted to let you know :)

Beautiful picture. We're "getting there" too.. Although we still have some snow left on the ground. But there are also some definite signs of spring!

Yes Dianne...we are excited about the onset of Spring as you all move into Autumn! Did the recent hurricane down there effect you all?

Muse...every time I hear these stalking scenarios it makes me mad. What kind of person gets a thrill out of this?
