A Summer Tradtition

It is County Fair Time in the Midwest.

One thing you can count on in late July or early August in the Midwest are the county fairs. There will always be the midways and the animals. The rides are always a bit worn and not as slick as Disney or 6 Flags but to a 6 year old...they are just as exciting as anything Mickey can offer. Then animals are not as exotic as the Leopard at the Zoo but the smile and look of wonder on the face of a child is priceless when he/she extends a hand and the goat responds with a gentle lick. County Fairs are as much a part of the fabric of Americana as 4th of July parades.

By the way if I was breastfeeding 8 little ones at once...I think I would raise my head in frustration as well.

Have a great Saturday and if the fair is in town...treat yourself to a visit this weekend.

You really have captured the fun of a country fair.
The little piggies are so cute!
From now through the fall, there will be a lot of fairs in this area too.

P.S. I'm not sure if it's just my computer but since you have added the puzzle, it takes quite a bit longer for your page to download. Thought you may want to know.

It's that time 'round heeyah' too, Dan :)

I love the piggies...wouldn't want to be that momma, though :)

Sunny....does it take more time for the entire page or just the puzzle? I don't notice it on my end. The puzzle takes a bit more but the rest of the page goes ahead and loads.

Heather...I would imagine that from now until Thanksgiving there are some wonderful fairs and festivals in New England.

I'm not sure if it's just the puzzle because while it downloads, it won't let me scroll down to see if the other pictures have loaded. It may just be my computer, it seems to have a mind of its own.
