Whenever I take a picture of a living being...human or animal...I always try for that connection of the eyes. This one leaves me a bit uncomfortable.
The grizzly passed by then as he walked away he gave one last look as if to invite me back to his den. I suspect it wasn't for tea and crumpets.

If I only looked at the eyes, I would be a little uncomfortable but I see the grin too...hmmmm. And then again, maybe that grin goes along with the look in the eyes, maybe he's thinking of how he could fluff you up for a nice pillow :)
Whatever he's thinking...I like this shot, Dan :)
Judging by the smile on his face, I think he was eyeing YOU as a tasty crumpet!
A fantastic picture :)

That is some look in those powerful eyes. I do feel like he's trying to tell us something. A truly majestic creature. Great picture Dan.
Heather...I have always said there is nothing like good positive thinking..."fluffing up a nice pillow"...however may be a bit TOO positive! I love the comment!

Sunny...as the Britt among the group...you would know about crumpets! I think you are right.

Thanks Septembermom...I do wish they could talk!

Not exactly the cuddly Winnie-the-Pooh kind... ;)
Dawn Treader...truer (is that a word?) words were never spoken!

I'm impressed the picture is in focus. I would have been shaking the entire time. Though I'm not sure whether it would have been from fear or excitement that I was able to get such a great capture. Great shot, Dan!
Thanks Monica...at least there was a big fence between me and him!
