I have some news! For the second year in a row, I have been given the wonderful opportunity to participate in a great charity project. The picture above of Beloved Scooter ...our Wheaten Terrier was chosen for publication in this year's book. It couldn't have happened to a nicer dog!
The book will be published in April and when it is available I will let you know more information in case you are interested. All proceeds from book sales goes to a charity for breast cancer research - The Avon Corporation. Here is a brief description of the Charity:
The mission of the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade is to raise funds and awareness for advancing access to care and finding a cure for breast cancer, with a focus on the medically under-served. From its launch in 1992 through 2007, the multi-faceted initiatives of the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade have raised and awarded more than $525 million to the breast cancer cause worldwide. Funding is awarded to five areas: breast cancer education and awareness, screening and diagnosis, access to treatment, support services and scientific research. Avon now supports programs for breast cancer in some 50 countries around the world. Also, I think that Vermont Heather and Texas Jen also had a photograph chosen for the book as well. If my info is correct...congrats to both of you.
Feel free to click on the Paws For Charity logo above for information on the project.

I am so excited that a few of us who've become friends through blogging are in the book together this year, Dan. Did you know that one of Jen's photos were also chosen? I LOVE this one of Scooter!!! I'm telling you, Dan, Scooter and I would be the best of buddies if we lived closer....
Heather...I like you new Avatar! Yes I am excited and I really consider it an honor to be a part of such a great project...I can't wait for the book! Also...yes...I mentioned "Michigan" Jen for some reason...I know she is from Texas but for some reason when I think of Jen...I always think of some great photos she took of Michigan. Thanks and I changed it in the post.

Yay Dan! Although, no surprise you were selected. :)
Scooter is such a photogenic pup!
LOL - it's ok to associate me from MI, I'm a born and raised Michigander. However, I do really like living in Texas now.
I am so excited for the book too - and thank you so much for thinking of me. :)
Awesome!!! Scooter is very photogenic, so he makes the perfect candidate :)
Congrats to you and your precious puppy dog!!!
Thank you Sunny...I am not all that excited but Scooter is ecstatic!
